The Worst Day Of Fran Drescher's Life

The Worst Day Of Fran Drescher's Life

Via the terrific auspices of The First Church of Dan Aykroyd, an excerpt by "The Nanny" Fran Drescher from her autobiography Enter Whining:

It's funny, but all indications were that Doctor Detroit, the big-star, big-budget, major studio release picture would be the big break for me but the best thing that came out of that movie was our friendship with Donna Dixon and Dan. Did I mention that I was the one who kinda got those two together? Yup. Most of the time, shooting with Dan was spent talking about Donna, with whom Peter and I had become instant friends. Dan fell for her like a ton of bricks and would express his desire to cradle her beautiful face in his hands, which, of course, I reported back to her, and around and around we went until one evening after a wonderful dinner at our house, on my front porch, Dan Aykroyd proposed to Donna Dixon and she accepted. ...

"This has been the worst day of my life." That profound statement would haunt him for a long time to come, as he blamed himself for bringing on the event that would truly define the worst day in our lives...At the end of the day we made a brief stop at Danny and Donna's to see some furnishings that had been delivered to their newly purchased home in the Hollywood Hills. They asked us to stay for dinner, but we declined the offer, since it was Judi we had committed to see. If only we had stayed. If only we had canceled on Judi. The saddest words I've heard or seen are "Oh, but if it could have been..." We had just finished dinner, I'd made a meatloaf, and by around eight o'clock we were still sitting around the kitchen table when Chester, who was only two at the time, began barking at the front door...The front door was broken down, and two men with guns were running toward us. I let out a scream that was more like a primal roar, when every nuance of your being is focused on one thing...Now it was just that week that I happened to be watching a morning talk show and felt the impact of what a police detective was saying about most victims not making good witnesses. I found it interesting that the greatest difficulty in finding a perpetrator is mostly due to the fact that the victim becomes crippled by such fear during an attack that they are rarely able to give a clear description...Because of that TV program I did just that, and managed to work out a police sketch that was such a dead ringer of the guy that you'd think the creep sat and posed for his own portrait!...Every corner had a plainclothesman with a police radio, just watching and waiting, each with a copy of my police sketch. When a white car with Compton plates pulled out a a driveway, the vehicle began to be tagged as it headed toward the freeway. Just before it reached the freeway ramp, it was pulled over, and it was all over. Out of the car climbed my rapist, a convicted felon on parole, with jewelry hanging out of his pocket and his fly still unzipped...We will never again be the same, but thanks to the generosity of our friends Danny and Donna, who opened their hearts and their home to us for almost three months, Peter and I began to feel safe and protected, slowly creeping out of the nest a little more with each passing day. I remembe sitting in the Aykroyd den with what little was left of my wordly possessions safely tucked in my handbag, which I kept by my side at all times. To this day I must admit to having a phobic attachment to my purse and continue to carry it from room to room even in my own home.

Re: Demon possessions - exorcists: real or fake?

These truths concerning demon activities are just as much a part of the Bible as salvation, baptism and the return of Yahweh. If we claim to believe all the Bible we certainly must believe these truths and teach them with intelligence, dignity and culture. Many have asked why the truth concerning these dark, demonic, spirit forces has not been taught universally by the clergy simply because of prejudice, ignorance and lack of understanding of the Bible as a whole.

There are some ministers teaching that God's Divine law has been done away with, but this does not make it so. Others teach that God does not heal people today as in the New Testament times but this doesn't make it so. The overwhelming majority of ministers never mention the work of demons and devils as exhibited in human beings, yet this does not eliminate these facts and truths nor does it stop the activities of these demon forces.

Pastor Visser's work Beware Of False Prophets helps to expose a few of the false doctrines injected by the "Christian" Separatist Church Society. We look deeper at "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing" and The Book of Enoch as well. Entire coverage for the second chapter of II Peter and Jude will help listeners learn to spot fake brethren for themselves. For the Israel people.

The Healing at Gerasenes - what got healed??

    The Healing at Gerasenes.

The man whose name was Legion had many unclean spirits. Because the man placed his faith in Jesus to heal him, Legion was healed.

What was he healed from? What did he have anyway?

I think a lot of people say that he had mental illness. This may have been true. However, to equate the unclean spirits with mental illness is not right. The unclean spirits were the uncleanness in his heart. The mental illness is a physical problem in the brain, that doesn’t have a thing to do with his heart.

These days when we ask for God to cast out demons from someone with mental illness, expect the mental illness to either get miraculously healed, but don’t be surprised if the man or woman still has struggles with mental illness. The healing is the healing in the "heart" of the individual. For once he was lost, and now he is found.

    Thanks, George!

Amazing I never noticed the demons were called "Legion" and it was there in the scripture the whole time!

    Thanks for the response.

Repent of those causes and confess it as sin in the opening of these causes by your authority figure.
Take action to demonstrate repentance and purify your life, including:
Release resentment/grudges against God and others, and seek forgiveness of those you have offended by your resentment.
Repudiate and renounce any and all occultic involvement; seek forgiveness of those you have offended by it; totally destory all books and other objects connected with it.
Get back under the authority of your parents, husband, pastor, elders, boss, teachers, and/or other against whom you rebelled; again, seek forgiveness wherever necessary.
Ask Jesus Christ to take complete control of your life - with His will supreme, not your own. Dedicate your heart, soul, mind, and strength to be used for His glory, for the fullfillment of His purposes.
Freedom from possession can be attained with an intense effort of your will, seek the help of God and of strong, mature Christians. Attempt to communicate your desire to be set free.
    Casting Out Demons

Make sure the person in question is really possessed. Seek confirmation.
Exercise empathic repentance first, closing any open doors to demon influence in your own life.
Get not only the consent of the possessed person, but also that of his/her key authority figures, to cast demons out. (Luke 11:24-26)
Enlist the help of five or more physically and spiritually strong Christians.
Do NOT lay hands on the possessed person, except as necessary to prevent bodily harm.
Identify the demon (or each demon, in cases where there are more than one) by asking him to give his name.
In the name of Jesus and by the power of His shed blood, command the demon(s) to leave.
Watch for deception -- Remember: there may be more than just one or two.
In cases where a demon is particularly stubborn, engage in group fasting and prayer.(Mark 9:25-29)
Carefully and diligently lead the person through each step of closing doors to demon oppression/possession (given above). Remember that bringing the person to salvation, to the indwelling of God's spirit, is the only prevention for further demon possession (Mark 9:25-29).
Stay close to the new convert and help him get involved in a solid program of discipleship in fellowship with other believers.

    Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

    Romans 11:5
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
