The Tares Have Risen above the Wheat
    Col. J. Richard Niemela

History it appears has reached that prophetic time when false claimants to privilege, when obstructors of a true course through a Christian life are revealed—those who now possess the Dominion! Reached a time when these pretenders to the Kingdom are exposed for who and what They are—"Tares." Weeds growing in the Wheat fields of Christianity.

    In Defence of Armageddon
or, Our Great Country Foretold in the Holy Scriptures
In two discourses delivered in the Capitol of the United States, at the request of several Members of Congress, on the anniversary of Washington's birthday, 1857.

by F. E. Pitts of Nashville, Tennessee

"Thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."—Psalm cxxxviii, 2. Downed by an edict written in the sky, The monarchies of earth shall be no more: Heaven's sealed wonders open to the eye In rising glories on the western shore.

    by C. O. Stadsklev

Several years ago while preaching in Baltimore a remarkable little book came to my attention. This book contains two sermons delivered by Rev. F. E. Pitts of Nashville, Tennessee. These sermons were delivered by Rev. Pitts in the Capital of the United States at the request of several members of Congress on the anniversary of Washington's birthday in 1857. The two addresses were entitled "Our Great Country Foretold in The Holy Scriptures" and "A Defence of Armageddon."

Our purpose in reprinting these two sermons by Rev. Pitts must be self-evident to everyone who is familiar with our teaching concerning the identity and destiny of the United States of America. Our delight in discovering that a great host of people, including congressmen and such ministers as Rev. F. E. Pitts, believed and taught more than a hundred years ago what we are preaching and teaching concerning our nation must also be apparent to all.

The two forewords found in this book give the reader the necessary introductions to Rev. Pitts' sermons on the United States. There are, however, a few suggestions that might be helpful and enable the reader to more fully understand and appreciate Rev. Pitts' position.

For instance, it would perhaps seem to us living today that he was unduly severe toward Great Britain; and had Rev. Pitts been living today he undoubtedly would have used the words dictator and dictatorship where he used the words monarchy and autocracy.

The most startling and significant thing about Rev. Pitts' teaching is that he could see the identity and Divinely determined destiny of our nation without the knowledge that the Anglo-Saxons are the literal descendants of the Israel people and without being aware of the true identity of the British Throne.

The following is a quotation from Rev. Pitts' morning message on February 22, 1857 at the national Capitol: "The United States of America is the nationality that is promised in the prophetic Scriptures to arise in the latter times as Israel Restored."

Two brief quotations from Rev. Pitts' message in the afternoon of the same day in 1857 will challenge any reader interested in Bible prophecy:

"The land to be invaded is, in the foregoing quotation, a literal and true description of the United States."

"The battlefield—the Valley of the Mississippi."

    America Needs the Divine Law
    by Dr. J. Franklin Snook

    by Pastor Sheldon Emry

The Leaders of the English Colonies in America, who agreed upon the Declaration of Independence and later the Constitution, were keen students of the Book of Faith professed by themselves and the majority of their countrymen at that time—the Holy Bible.

In Colonial times, Ministers preached from their pulpits that the Bible was written for presidents and advisors, for legislators and magistrates, for mayors and ambassadors and that it was the source from which came the establishment of "righteous government."

Colonial preaching made the Bible not only the Book for the individual and the family but THE BOOK that guided the United States of America on her way to destiny.

The author of the tract that you are about to read writes with the same understanding. I urgently recommend that any person, especially persons in government, invest a few minutes to read this article.

You will be blessed by this treatise on "God's Way" of solving problems in the nation. You will find the Bible way very intelligent, very reasonable, and often much simpler and more effective than man's. Please read on.

    Why We Need Divine Law

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6

    Understanding God's Law

Inasmuch as God is the Supreme Authority in ALL things, let us then consider national affairs, which are of such vital concern to each of us, in the light of God's word, for only then will we view these things in their proper setting and with understanding. This study may bring about some reorientation in our thinking, for many labor under the delusion that the Bible teaches only religion and proper conduct on the individual level. Actually only two-sevenths of the text of the Bible deals ...
