    The Continuing War against Christianity
    by Pastor Chuck Kuhler

There is an ongoing war happening against anything in this nation that relates to Christian beliefs. And the sad thing is that most Christians are sitting back and accepting the battle losses without ever speaking out.

Now I am sorry if others don't like it, but the truth is that this nation was founded on Christian values some 229 years ago. There was no mention of Jewish, Muslim, or other efforts in the establishment and building of this nation. So why and how have we degenerated to the level that we now find ourselves in? Have we become so tolerant of the religious beliefs of others that we are willing to give up our own beliefs in some fictional hope that it will lead to a spirit of mutual understanding?

Well, the truth is that the more we yield, the more that is demanded by those of heathen and false beliefs. This is just not some statement on my part. All that one has to do is view the events of the past hundred years. In the year 1904, this nation was considered to be a "Christian" nation. There was no significant Muslim presence, and the Jewish influence while existing, was kept under a blanket of silence, for fear of retribution. Today, we have been invaded by millions of Muslims, and our Christian heritage has been renamed as our Judeo-Christian heritage, all in the hope of diluting the word "Christian."

Cities and towns which have had official seals for over a hundred years have had to make alterations to these seals to eliminate a building displaying a cross. In several instances, a display of the Ten Commandments has had to be removed from public buildings, facilities and property, as being "offensive" to non-Christians and atheists. There can be no mention of our God in schools and other public facilities, and if there is to be some religious rhetoric used in any program, Yahweh the one true and evetliving God must share the program with any number of false gods.

We see large retail stores prohibiting sales personnel from saying "Merry Christmas" to customers, preferring the innocuous terms "Happy Holidays," or "Season's Greetings." This is in spite of the fact that these Kenite-owned retail stores do more than 70% of their annual business in the few short weeks leading up to Christmas. They want the financial profit but they resent having to use the word "Christ" to gain that profit.

It is obvious that this war against our Christian beliefs is not something that just happened as a part of our normal daily experiences of life. There is some sinister force behind this effort which is driving and accelerating this program. We further understand that such force must be in conflict with the messages brought by our Savior.

Now just who is it that "hates" the Messiah, Christ Jesus? Who is it that had, and ignored, the words of the prophets? Consider the words of Isaiah as found in 9:6, "For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder: and his name is called the Messenger of great counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him." (LXX).

Consider also, Micah 5:2 where the exact birthplace of the Saviour of Israel was foretold, "And thou, Bethlehem, house of Ephratha, art few in number to be reckoned among the thousands of Juda: yet out of thee shall one come forth to me, to be a ruler of Israel; and his goings forth were from the beginning, even from eternity." (LXX)

Those in Judea should have known who he was. Of course the Pharisees of that time, like the Pharisees of today did not want to see the advent of Israel's Saviour. They had a good thing going though not in accordance with the laws of Moses. Jesus was a hindrance and an interruption. Is it any different today? He is still a hindrance to the ungodly ones.
