    The Breastplate of Judgement (Supplement)
    By James P. Wickstrom

    Dedicated to Leo Daigle of Ortonville, Michigan "A one of a kind Inspiration to our people"

    The enclosed writings, adds more information in regards to the Breastplate of Judgment, which was also called the Oracle by the Greeks. The enclosed information is to be added to the information I have already introduced in writings and personal lectures from the years 1986 to 1990.

    This supplement is for those who strive to advance to a higher level of understanding concerning so many mysteries that have been kept secret until the very latter days of Jacob’s childrens troubles.

    The Maker of the Breastplate

    I believe that it is most important to know whom YHWH selected to produce the marvelous Breastplate of Judgment. The person who did so had the greatest skill of all Jacob/Israel, and his name should not be forgotten for the wonderful deed he did for YHWH and our people.

    In order to obtain this information, we must go back to the writings of Moses, back into the Book of Exodus, chapter 35, verses 27 to 35 for this information. It reads thus;
    And the rulers brought Onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate. And spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense. The children of (Jacob) Israel brought a willing offering unto YHWH, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which YHWH had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses. And Moses said unto the children of (Jacob) Israel, see ... YHWH hath called by the name of Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; And He hath filled him with spirit of YHWH, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in the carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. And He put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. Them hath He filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.
    So now it is explained that Bezaleel was the main instrument that YHWH used to use cunning work in the perfection of the Breastplate of Judgment, and was assisted by Aholiab of the tribe of Dan.

    Last Time the Breastplate Functioned

    In his writings, Josephus clearly wrote that, “The Oracle (Breastplate) had been silent, two hundred years before he wrote his Antiquities.”

    Thus, the last time that the Breastplate functioned as it was designed to do, as per the instructions of YHWH to the High Priest was either B.C. 106 or B.C. 105. It has been silent to this day, in the supplement of this writing. The date of this writing of Josephus, “Antiquities” was published either in A.D. 93 or A.D. 94.

    I am led to believe that this was a grand symbol of “The Light” that would come forth from the womb of a virgin, and would be The Light, The Life, and The Way for His People.

    I highly recommend that the reader of this supplement look up the words, “Oracle,” and “oracular.” The information you learn will give you a greater depth and understanding of what the Breastplate of Judgment did when it was not silent.

    It is noted very clearly in the writings of Josephus, that the Breastplate may seem to have been restored for some time after the Bablonish captivity, at least in the days of that excellent High Priest, John Hycanus, whom Josephus esteemed as a king, a priest, and a prophet; and who, he says, foretold several things that came to pass accordingly; but about the time of his death, Josephus implies, that this “Oracle” quite ceased, and not before.

    Josephus who wrote “Antiquities of the Hebrews,” was next to being a High Priest as being of the family of the Asamoneans or Maccabees as to the succession of Vespasian and Titus to the Roman Empire, and that in the days of Nero, and before either Galba, Otho, or Vitellius were thought of to succeed him.

    Location of the Breastplate

    The clearest description as to the location of the Breastplate on the High Priest is explained in “Antiquities of the Hebrews” by Josephus, in chapter VII, verse 5;
    Besides these, the High Priest put on a third garment, which is called, “The Ephod” (apron), which resembles the Epomis of the Greeks. Its make was after tis manner: It was woven to the depth of a cubit, of several colours, with gold intermixed, and embroidered, but it left the middle of the breast uncovered; it was made with sleeves also; nor did it appear to be at all differently made from a short coat. But in the void place of this garment there was inserted a piece of the bigness of a span, embroidered with gold, and the other colours of the Ephod, and was called the "Essen" (Breastplate), which in the Greek language signifies, the "Oracle." This piece exactly filled up the space in the Ephod. It was united to it by golden rings at every corner, the like rings being annexed to the Ephod, and a blue ribbon was made use of to tie them together by those rings; and that the space between the rings might not appear empty, they contrived to fill it up with stitches of blue ribbons. There were also two Sardonyxes (stones) upon the Ephod, at the shoulders to fasten it, in the nature of buttons, having each end-running to the Sardonyxes of gold, that they might button them. On these were engraven the names of the sons of Jacob (Israel), in our own country’s letters (Ancient Hebrew), and in our own tongue, six on each of the stones, on either side; and the elder sons’ names were on the right shoulder.
    The Breastplate Stones
    There were twelve stones also upon the Breastplate, extraordinary in largeness and beauty, and they were an ornament not to be purchased by men, because of their largeness and immense value. These stones, however, stood in three rows with four stones in a row, and they were inserted into the Breastplate itself, and were so made that they might not fall out. {Note* This description defies the instructions commanded to Moses in the making of the Breastplate, to be a cube, being then double cubed. I do not believe that Josephus ever actually saw the Breastplate with his own eyes. I believe the Breastplate was made of a “cunning work” of four rows with three stones in each row.} Now the first three stones were a Sardonyx, a Topaz, and a Emerald. The second row contained a Carbuncle, and Jasper, and a Sapphire. The first of the third row was a Ligure, then an Amethyst, and the fourth row was a Chrysolite, the next was an Onyx, and then a Beryl, which was the last of all. Now all the names of all the sons of Jacob (Israel) were engraven in these stones, whom we esteem the heads of our tribes, each stone having the honour of a name, in the order according to which month they were born.
    The Mystic Ephod Meanings

    In Josephus, chapter VII, verse 7 we learn the inner most understanding as to why the Ephod was designed in the manner that YHWH commanded. It reads and explains, as such;
    And for the ephod (apron), it shewed that YHWH had made the Universe of four (elements); and as for the gold interwoven, I suppose it related to the splendour by which all things are enlightened. He also appointed the Breastplate to be placed in the middle of the Ephod, to resemble the Earth, for that has the very middle of the world. And the girdle, which compassed the High Priest round, signified the ocean, for that goes round about and includes the Universe. Each of the Sardonyxes (stones) declares to us the Sun and the Moon; those I mean that were in the nature of buttons on the High Priests shoulders. And for the twelve stones (in the Breastplate), whether we understand by them the months, or whether we understand by them the like number of the Signs of that circle which the Greeks call the Zodiac, we shall not be mistaken in their meaning. And for the mitre, which was of a blue colour, it seems to me to mean ... Heaven; for how otherwise could the Name of YHWH (El) be inscribed upon it.
    The Sardonyx Buttons

    There was indeed good reason to include the following information concerning the Sardonyx stones which were used for buttons at the shoulders of the High Priest that coupled the Ephod together. YHWH in all His Perfection also had a Divine reason in the function of these stones.

    Josephus clearly explains the reason in chapter IX, verse 9, as such;
    For as to those stone, which we told you before, the high Priest bare on his shoulders, which were Sardonyxes, the one of them shined out when YHWH was present at their sacrifices; I mean that which was in the nature of a button on his right shoulder, bright rays darting out thence, being seen even by those that were remote; which splendour yet was not before natural to the stone. This has appeared a wonderful thing to such as have not so far indulged themselves in philosophy, as to despise Divine Revelation. The Sardonyx stones on the shoulders of the High Priest as per the Oracle of Urim and Thummin, which words signify Light and Perfection, or, as the Septuagint render them, Revelation and Truth, and denote further, that, the shining stones themselves, which were used, in this method of illumination, in revealing the Will of YHWH (El), after a perfect, and true manner, to His people Israel. But, these answers (to the High Priest) were not made by the shining of the precious stones, after an awkward manner in the High Priest’s Breastplate, but rather by an audible voice from the Mercy-seat (golden conductor) between the cherubim’s {See Prideaux’s Connect. At the year 534}.
    The Breastplate Energy

    The following information is most interesting, to say the least. Remind yourself, that all the stones in the Breastplate were sunken with cunning work into gold that YHWH used as a conductor in transmitting energy-frequency through the stones on the chest of the High Priest… to show His people Jacob/Israel that He truly was with them in battle. I continue to witness to you from the writing of Josephus, chapter IX, verse 9 ...
    Yet, I will mention what is still more wonderful than this (Sardonyxes stones shining on the shoulders of the High Priest), for YHWH declared beforehand, by those twelve stones which the High Priest bare on his breast, and which were inserted into His Breastplate, when they (Jacob/Israel) should be victorious in battle; for so great a splendour shone forth from them before the army (of Israel) began to march, that all the people were sensible of YHWH’s being present for their assistance. Whence it came to pass that those Greeks, who had a veneration for our Laws, because they could not possibly contradict this, and they called that Breastplate ..., the Oracle. Now this Breastplate, and this Sardonyx left off shining two hundred years before I composed this book, YHWH having been displeased at the transgressions of His Laws. The Breastplate (Oracle) has been silent ever since the days of the last good High Priest of the family of the Maccabees, John Hyrcanus. The Breastplate (also called the Oracle) by which YHWH appeared to be present with, and gave instructions to His people as their King, all the while they submitted to Him in that capacity; and did not set over them such independent kings as governed according to their own wills and political maxims, instead of divine directions.
    Destiny of the Breastplate

    Accordingly, the Breastplate starts from the days of Moses and Joshua, to the Anointing of Saul… the first of the kings over Israel, until Saul’s rejection of the Divine commands of war by YHWH against Amalek.

    This was when Saul took it upon himself to act as he saw fit (1 Samuel 16:3,18,19).
    And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee. Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and YHWH is with him. Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.
    Then the Breastplate left Saul entirely and accompanied David, who was Anointed to succeed Saul, and who consulted YHWH by it frequently, and complied with its directions constantly (I Samuel 14:37,41: 15:25; 22:13,15; 23:9,10; 30:7,8,18;)
    And Saul asked counsel of El; Shall I go down after the Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day. Therefore Saul said unto YHWH thy El of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship YHWH. And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of El for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? Did I then begin to inquire of El for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more. And David knew that Saul secretly practiced mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod. Then said David, O' YHWH thy El of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David inquired at YHWH, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.
    II Samuel 2:1; 5:19,23; 21:1; 23:14
    And it came to pass after this, that David inquired of YHWH, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And YHWH said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron. And David inquired of YHWH, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And YHWH said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand. And when David inquired of YHWH, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David inquired of YHWH. And YHWH answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
    I Chronicles 14:10, 14
    And David inquired of El, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And YHWH said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. Therefore David inquired again of El; and El said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
    Antiquities of the Hebrews Book VI, Chapter XII, verse 5. Josephus continues to write ...
    Saul, indeed, long after his rejection by YHWH, and when YHWH had given him up to destruction for his disobedience did once afterwards endeavour to consult YHWH when it was too late; but YHWH would not then answer him, neither by dreams, nor by Urim (stone on the High Priest’s shoulder), nor by prophets (I Samuel 28:6). Nor did any of David’s successors, the kings of Judah, that is known of, consult YHWH by the Breastplate, till the very Babylonish captivity itself, when those kings were at an end; they taking upon them, too much despotic power and royalty, and too little owning YHWH, El of Israel for the supreme King of Israel, though a few of them consulted the prophets sometimes, and were answered by them.

    The information you have just been presented with is a supplement to any and all information in which I have already submitted in previous writings and lectures.

    I am very humbled to YHWH our Father that He granted me the insight to further explain the depths of the wonderful electro-magnetic instrument that has come to be known as THE BREASTPLATE OF JUDGEMENT.

    This supplement is also being dedicated to my good and trusted friend, Leo Daigle, who inspired me in this writing. I am most humble for his many acts of kindness towards my person in this lifetime.
