  1. 'In the Beginning': An Answer to Ferrar Fenton's Curious Question!

    Genesis 1:1 FF (bold indicates emphasis added.)

    1By Periods God created that which produced the Solar Systems; then that which produced the Earth.

    Upon reading the Bible in Modern English (c. 1903), we find that Mr. Ferrar Fenton has translated the word 'Periods' where we usually read the word 'beginning', and later on he's also translated the word 'period' where we normally read the word 'day' in our King James Version of the Bible. So which translation is more accurate?

    2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

    Here we see an outstanding translation of pretty much what the Hebrew actually says, in which quite literally, Yahweh calls His male and female creation a collective proper singular noun.
