( Revelation 1:1 to 22:21 )
MP3 (5.78 mb)

(Raw Text:)

hello again faithful friends and thank you for joining me I'm pastor Visser the beautiful Berks Georgia and the covenant peoples Church and today I'm pleased to be providing you a series overview looking at our upcoming series looking at the revelation of Saint John the Divine meaning that without this particular overview you may get lost the first month of January 2018 because we intend on actually preaching the book of Revelation entirely different than any other series that we've covered or tackled from this particular pulpit before first of all in doing this audio series looking at the book of Revelation we have shortened the time slot to 30 minutes in total and the reason for that is self apparent we here at covenant peoples church have every intention of reviving covenant peoples radio and therefore two 30-minute programs will fit a perfect hour time slot therefore as we go through the book of Revelation twice a week every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and every Sunday at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time we will be presenting alongside this video and each audio segment that is released a question a question that can be answered from that particular study and the reason for that is I believe that oftentimes we within this truth movement look to our leaders more so to form our worldview then to actually educate us into how to form our own world view and therefore twice a week we will be presenting a question with each audio sermon that is released meaning at the end of every month we will take those 8 to 10 questions and have a Q&A session just like you see here unlike audio we will have a monthly highlights real-looking that each question that was asked and going to the text in order to provide that particular answer to that question and so the series should be very simple and what's interesting about the book of Revelation is if you take Bible as literature within college or even go to a seminary school chances are pretty good that your teacher will tell you well the book of Revelation just cannot be understood and that is a falsehood my friends in reality the book of Revelation is very simple to understand but because it is multifaceted and multi-layered much like an onion it has led many people to come in and basically dismiss the book of Revelation and say that everything within its pages was fulfilled by 70 AD which is not the case while there is a preterist viewpoint that can be found within the book of Revelation because a small percentage of the prophecies were fulfilled in 70 AD you will see that the book of Apocalypse deals with that which was that which is becoming meaning right now and that which will ultimately be fulfilled within the future and therefore I have provided for you today at least a series overview into how we are going to be releasing every segment looking at the revelation of Saint John the Divine and I'd like to give you a few statistics before we actually begin this series on the book itself and naturally some of this will be looking at the first week of January 2018 than the first one to four segments but if the summary of Revelation is that it was written around 96 ad on Patmos Island by John the Apostle the same John that walked alongside Christ the same John who believed as a youth that he could rain fire upon the cities of the Samaritans and of course Christ forbade him and ultimately the same exact john who learned later in life that the greatest attribute is charity and/or love therefore John who wrote the book of Revelation in 96 ad is very different than the John who wrote the gospel and the epistles that are found towards the conclusion of the New Testament and we've more than adamantly proven that from covenant people's church before the author is undoubtably st. John however what's interesting about this book of Revelation is while it goes by many different names the apocalypse of John John's revelation or the revelation of st. John the Divine it is truly known as the revelation of Jesus Christ and that's confirmed right in verse 1 of chapter 1 where we learn the revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto him to show unto his servants those things which must shortly come to pass therefore whose revelation is this this is the revelation of Yahshua the Christ meaning and around the Beltway this is Christ's gospel not John's not Luke's not mark nor Matthews and the word itself revelation means to reveal the unveiling or the genesis of all things and so while it is quite entertaining that so many theologians come in and say well you can't understand the book of Revelation the very title itself means to reveal and that is the reason why we've chosen to cover it for a good portion of this year 2018 being that it is 22 chapters in total it's not going to take a week or two to preach and therefore by shortening the audio segments to 30 minutes each and by providing a question that accompanies each lecture and by monthly answering those questions we hope to actually provide interactivity and include the flock within this series and teaching them discernment what else can be said about the book of Revelation the theme is the revelation or unveiling from Jesus Christ therefore what's taught here is so very important because some a small percentage has been fulfilled but the girth of revelation has yet to be fulfilled how can I say that well very simply in looking at the statistics dealing with the book of Apocalypse it's the 66th and final book in all of Canon however it has 22 chapters a hundred and four verses twelve thousand words nine questions presented by Christ but 53 verses of history see ten verses of fulfilled prophecy but over 342 verses of unfulfilled prophecy meaning that there are 340 prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled within the book of Revelation and I believe that if you truly look at the signs that precede christ's second advent many of these things are happening right now and many things of course will happen in the future the Whore of Babylon the mark of the beast the locust armies the two witnesses ultimately being slain within the city the new heavens and the new earth which of course accompany the new Jerusalem who Paul says is the mother of us all coming out of heaven as a bride adorned for her bridegroom meaning the marriage supper of the Lamb which obviously has yet to be fulfilled so there are 53 verses within the twelve thousand words of Revelation that do deal with history but 341 verses of unfulfilled prophecy and the other part of Revelation that oh so many people struggle with is the timeframe within the establishment of this revelation of Jesus Christ again found within revelation 1:1 the revelation of Christ which Yahweh gave unto him to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant Sean that is John the Apostle and that one statement right there shortly come to pass has led oh so many people to come in and dismiss and discount the book of Revelation by saying well Christ clearly said it should shortly come to pass but seemingly they forget that one day with Yahweh God is as a thousand years unto URI that's taught by Paul within the New Testament many people are willingly ignorant of Yahweh's timetable so in short what I'm getting to is Christ saying these things must shortly come to pass according to his timetable it's only been about two two and a quarter days since his resurrection okay so we're gonna look at that more in depth here beginning tomorrow Wednesday January the 3rd 2018 as I provide for you an opening segment an overview on the book itself the reasons it was written the conditions it was written under and of course looking deeper at John why well here we learned that it was signified by an angel unto John so John was the vessel to relay what Christ wanted revealed unto his sons and daughters and I truly pray that covenant peoples church will be an instrument or a vehicle in not only teaching the book of Revelation but instilling the block to learn how to use their god-given discernment so they also don't need to look to other men to form their worldview and so I truly hope that you will be part of that the audio will begin being released tomorrow and every two days for the continuation of 2018 until it's concluded and be sure to look for monthly highlights and hopefully more interactivity in the future via Skype or just through covenant people's ministry phone lines where you also can call in ask your questions attempt to stop the pastor tell us where we're wrong and tell us where we can improve I hope that you'll be part of that and I would truly like to thank the few men women and children that make this series available okay now I've clearly pointed out that December and usually the first two weeks of January are the hardest for any CIA ministry therefore I would like to thank my friend Holly with an S Eric with a Z James with a see Farren with a G the clock brothers Curtis with an N Sabina with a T Kevin with an A Romain with a P Danny with an F in addition to anybody else I may have forgotten these handful of men women and children have basically made this entire series looking at the book of Revelation available to a whole new generation and so keep those individuals within your prayers and this ministry and if you're able to help please do so and I will see you very shortly I hope that you will answer the questions as they go up with the particular sermons right here on YouTube Dailymotion Vimeo or wherever you find covenant peoples video and until next time this is Pastor visser from beautiful Brooks Georgia and the covenant peoples outreach in ministry wishing you and your entire family great studies and always war for Christ amen hello again dear kinfolk and thank you for joining me I'm pastor Visser a beautiful cold 22 degree Brook Georgia and today I'm pleased to announce that beginning tomorrow Wednesday the 3rd of January 2018 we're going to begin in all new series looking at the book of Revelation and without this particular series overview on this book of Revelation you might get lost because we're going to be preaching the book of Revelation entirely different than any other series that we brought forth from this particular pulpit before in that I mean it will be an audio series and every segment will be shortened to 30 minutes each and the reason for that it's because in 2018 we hope to resurrect covenant peoples radio and 2 of those would make a perfect our block that is for syndication when we begin to replay the audio lectures looking at the book of Revelation and it's my belief that unfortunately within our movement too many of us look to our teachers to form our worldview as opposed to having our teachers educate us on discernment so we can form our own worldview and therefore twice a week with every lecture that will be produced from this book of Revelation we're going to be presenting a question therefore at the end of every month we're going to have one of these types of videos whether they are at the covenant peoples church or hopefully in spring at more beautiful locations to answer those eight to ten questions and hopefully have interactivity through Skype and allow callers to come in and tell us how we can do better with the book of Revelation or where we erred in teaching that and what's interesting about the book of Revelation is most churches stay away from it in fact in college if you take the Bible as literature they don't teach the book of Revelation and if you go to seminary school the first thing they'll tell you is that the Book of Revelations not to be understood so don't even try to understand it now as we progress through this obviously long-running series on the book of John's apocalypse you should be able to see that revelation is actually very simple that is as far as a book is concerned it's multi-layered and multifaceted meaning some of the prophecies within apocalypse have been fulfilled that is the preterist viewpoint some are being fulfilled which is the modernist viewpoint and some are yet to be fulfilled for example the marriage supper of the Lamb the great and terrible day of the Lord and the mark of the beast and all of those things we're going to be looking at in this audio series twice a week every Wednesday and Sunday normal time however 30 minutes each and as we will be covering some of this in the first week of January 2018 I want to give you a brief summary of the book of Revelation it was written in Palestine around 96 ad meaning that it is the oldest book in all of Canada and it has led many people to say that it cannot be understood or that it was ultimately all fulfilled within 70 AD which is then correct also worthy of note is the author is undoubtedly Saint John the Divine and what few people seem to understand about this book of Revelation is found right in chapter 1 verse 1 the revelation of Jesus Christ which Yahweh gave unto him to show unto his servants therefore you should be able to see already that while this is considered the revelation of st. John the Divine or John's apocalypse it's the revelation of Jesus Christ meaning it means to reveal and Christ's intention with this book is that each and every one of us understand its deeper meaning because revelation means to reveal so it never ceases to amaze me how people come in and say well it's not to be understood when the very name itself means the revealing the theme on Revelation is an unveiling from Jesus Christ meaning John is only a vessel when it comes down to it and which God gave unto him to show things that must shortly come to pass and that one statement right there shortly come to pass has caused many people to say well everything in Revelations been fulfilled not so because one day with Yahweh is as a thousand days or years unto us! Amen.
