The word 'beast' is translated 3 different ways in the Bible.
The most used way however is the Hebrew word CHAYAH, which means living creature, aka, NOT a wild animal/beast.
This beast is clearly not a ape, pig, or any other type of wild animal. This "beast" can talk, sing, and is used as a slave.
Here are a few verses that talk about the flat nose black "beast" of the field (Lev. 21:18) -
Joel 2:22, Jonah 3:8, Exd 19:13, Jer. 31:27, Lev. 20:15/20:16, Songs of Songs, Jonah 3:8-10, 2 Peter 2:12-14, Acts 10:12, Romans 1:23, Ezek 14:13, Jer. 33:10 and Jer. 28:14
