The Same is a Thief and a Robber!
by Pastor Tex Echols (CPM-CJCC, Ark.)
Who are God’s “sheep?” Let’s begin by looking closer at a teaching of Yahsua;
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers” (John 10:1-5).
Scripturally, Christ has foretold us ALL things. While Yahweh can certainly use pastors to teach and generate fellowship, all things that are TRUTH are already transcribed in the Word of God (John 17:17). There’s simply no guesswork pertaining to God’s Will. The importance of “assembling together” is to allow the many-membered Body of Christ to work the Will of God, not necessarily to “learn” anything that might be contrary to scripture. Yahweh has designed life so that the WORD of God is all mankind needs to establish truth and doctrine in this world of lies (2 Timothy 3:16).
Therefore, when we see “wolves in sheep’s clothing” attacking God’s flock using the justification that they might somehow be “fooled” by a strange pastor it’s not only insulting to God’s people, but often shows an outright lack of faith! Consider the Old Testament’s teachings that; “All people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of YHVH our God for ever and ever” (Micah 4:5).
When we see those who profess to be of the brotherhood continually attacking other pastors over doctrine and their interpretations we can rest assured in the Words of Christ – His people are UNABLE to be deceived by strangers (or mamzers). They will only follow the clear-cut teachings of scripture as opposed to man’s twisting of it and also know God’s Law well enough to not break the commandments concerning His people and precious bride, Israel.
We either ARE His sheep (meaning people) or NOT, we need not man to show us their lack of faith through worry!
“Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it” (James 4:11).
Gossip is forbidden by scripture (even if true) and slander is outright condemned. Obviously, one must not posses the proper spirit of MEEKNESS required to be used of God when they profess to know ‘all truth’ or are sitting in His position as only HE knows the thoughts and intents of mankind. We’re not “working out our own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12) if all our free time is focused on WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING instead of making sure WE’RE serving God correctly by our OWN works and deeds.
In fact, such are hypocrites! Imposter ‘tares’ that play-act the role of knowing Yahweh.
Only the fool thinks he knows it all, which is why he thinks that way – don’t be mislead by those who profess Yahweh with their mouth but deny His teachings with their lifestyles. It’s through this expression of disbelief that others are assured of falsehoods and continue on in rebellion. While man can fool himself into thinking he’s something great, he’s already deceived the moment he thinks it (1 Corinthians 8:2) thus we must not make the same mistake that the Pharisees of old did.
We must not only HEAR His Word, but actually DO His Word.
Praise Yahweh! Once again we see that ONLY Yahweh’s Word is true and every man should be counted as liars (Romans 3:4) if they teach ANYTHING that cannot be established within God’s eternal Word. We’re locked onto truth having been able to define it, unlike the faithless masses. Within the pages of the Bible we’re able to separate the wheat from chaff and the genuine from fake – let’s not neglect these gifts Yahweh has given us!
